New company FANUC CNC UK to benefit customers

Echternach, Luxemburg - At the end of 2009, following the dissolution of the 23 year joint venture between FANUC and GE, Fanuc GE CNC and FANUC Service have merged to form the new company FANUC CNC UK. The new company will use synergies and its expanded potential to benefit its customers. From now on, for all FANUC CNC systems machine tool users in the UK will have just one unique service partner - FANUC CNC UK.

In the UK, over 30,000 FANUC CNC-controls are installed in machine tools.  FANUC CNC UK will provide service and support to machine tool builders, dealers, integrators and users. The goal is to give even better support and to be closer to customers. Andrew Myhill, General Manager of FANUC CNC UK, commented: “We are doing our best to help machine tool builders and users to be successful in the very competitive national and global markets.”

The competitive pressure of the global machine tool market is impacting machine tool builders.  Andrew Myhill explained: “To defend and to extend their own market position, machine tool builders have to work closely with their suppliers.
